Problem

Today’s industrial meat production has become opaque, highly enriched and harmful to the environment, animal welfare and most of all human health. It is one of the key causes for increasing numbers of obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and other ailments. At the same time, meat production is one of the driving factors for climate change with animal agriculture’s CO2 emission surpassing the negative impact of all global transportation.
With an exponentially growing population by 2050, 56% more food is needed. Feeding a population of nearly 10B would translate into further exploitation of our vegetated land and an incremental and unbearable increase in CO2 emissions.
